Terrific Toddlers

Terrific Toddlers

If your Toddler’s Toddle and your Waddler’s Waddle, this is the room for you! We have tons of toys to stimulate your busy baby and encourage new ways to learn. We create a developmentally appropriate lesson for your child to enjoy. We believe the best practice is to be hands on for toddlers, After all, they learn with their senses. We have sensory play weekly as well as structured times for lessons. We sing songs, read books, and repeat. Before you know it, your little scholar will be singing along to their favorite songs, and socializing with other students, speaking new words all in the form of play.

In our Toddler class, we start with a consistent schedule. This helps the child predict what’s next and transition easily to the next activity. Routines are important for young children. We do several small groups throughout the day and use these times to go over flash cards, play musical instruments, build with blocks, and even care for baby dolls in the pretend play area. We encourage our students to recite many words and phrases in attempts to communicate verbally with each other and the teachers.

Daily we go outside and to our indoor gym to work on strengthening our big muscles. The children will also use this opportunity to move their bodies in a way that will allow them to release energy productively. Having moments to release energy allows for moments of attention and focus. In these times we will work on social, emotional, and academic skills. We believe that even children this young can receive an amazing education. This is the age where you will see lots of firsts, and we are so happy to be a part of it. We invite you to visit our room and see just how terrific our Toddlers truly are.
